Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up" on the homepage. You can register with your email, Google account, or Telegram. Once registered, complete your profile to start using the platform.
What is the difference between a client and a freelancer?
Clients post projects and hire freelancers. Freelancers browse gigs, submit proposals, and deliver work. You can use GigRevo as both — your dashboard adapts based on your role in each project.
Do I need a crypto wallet to use GigRevo?
You can use GigRevo with or without your own wallet. If you connect a self-managed wallet (like MetaMask), you control your funds directly. Otherwise, GigRevo provides a custodial wallet for convenience.

Payments & Escrow

How does escrow work?
When a client funds a project, the payment is held in a smart contract on the Polygon blockchain. Funds are released to the freelancer milestone-by-milestone as work is approved. This protects both parties.
What currencies are supported?
GigRevo uses USDC and USDT stablecoins on the Polygon network. Both are pegged to the US dollar, so 1 USDC/USDT = $1 USD.
What fees does GigRevo charge?
GigRevo charges a 2% platform fee on escrow transactions. There are no hidden fees. Most escrow actions (accepting, delivering, releasing, and disputes) are gasless — the platform covers the gas via relay. Funding an escrow requires a wallet transaction.
How long does it take to receive payment?
After a freelancer marks a milestone as delivered, the client reviews the work and releases payment. The release transaction confirms within seconds on Polygon. If the client does not respond, an automatic release timer ensures the freelancer still gets paid.

Projects & Milestones

What are milestones?
Milestones break a project into smaller deliverables, each with its own budget. The freelancer delivers work per milestone, and the client approves and releases payment for each one individually.
Can I modify a project after it has been funded?
Yes. Both parties can propose amendments to adjust milestones, amounts, or deadlines. Amendments require mutual agreement before taking effect on-chain.
What happens if the client does not respond?
If a client does not accept a funded escrow within the deadline, the escrow is automatically cancelled and the funds are returned. Similarly, automatic release timers protect freelancers after delivering work.

Disputes

What if there is a disagreement?
Either party can open a dispute on a milestone. Once a dispute is opened, the funds for that milestone are locked until the dispute is resolved by the platform.
How are disputes resolved?
GigRevo reviews the evidence provided by both parties — messages, deliverables, and project requirements. The platform then decides how to split the disputed funds fairly.

Account & Security

How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page and enter your email. You will receive a reset link valid for one hour.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, custodial wallet keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and all connections use HTTPS. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings in your dashboard and click "Delete Account". This will remove your data and sign you out. Note that on-chain transaction history on Polygon is permanent.
